Family Synergy
syn·er·gy [sin-er-jee] the interaction of elements that when combined produce a total effect that is greater than the sum of the individual elements.
Family Synergy is a fun and interactive way to engage individuals as family to build relationships, trust, and unity. I bring over 8 years of experience in facilitation, group dynamics, and team building. The synergy of my team’s skills, with the interaction of your family make a great fit for any family celebration! Through a combination of interactive icebreakers, games, and conversation energizers we help families build synergy with each other.
Bride and Groom Family Introductions
The bride and groom know each other very well, but often times the immediate and extended families are not as acquainted with one another. Family Synergy helps to overcome the awkwardness that is sometimes there with family introductions. It goes beyond the simple, “This is my Aunt Barbara” to a more personal and engaging interaction that will serve as the foundation of family and in-law relationships throughout the marriage.
Wedding Reception
Have you ever been to a wedding as a guest and you are waiting and waiting for the bride and groom to finish their wedding pictures. You are bored. You don’t always know many people there. And really, how much is there to say about the weather? Well, Family Synergy can help create an engaging and interactive time for guests to go beyond small talk to get know each other better (as friends and family of the couple) and enjoy your wedding experience. Guests meet and mingle in a facilitated way that keeps them engaged and excited until you are ready to enter the reception.
Wedding Rehearsal Dinner
Many couples have a dinner after their wedding rehearsal. This is usually meant to say thank you to the bridal party and family for their love and support. It is also an opportunity where family and friends of the bride and groom can interact. Rather than just sitting down eating, Family Synergy is a great way to facilitate conversations energizers and bring some laughter and getting-to-know you moments among those present. I can facilitate this or I can provide a few tools and games that you can do on your own to energize the conversation.
Family Reunions
Most reunions consist of the family getting together, swapping old stories, and eating good food. But there is not always time set aside for greater and deeper interactions. We don’t find out that Grandma Susie was involved in starting the town’s library or that Uncle Jim was in the Peace Corps. Family Synergy is a way to help families learn more about one another and their family tree. It’s also a great way to have family oriented games and interaction without you being the one to have to plan it and get everyone on board.
Birthday Celebrations & Other Special Family Occasions
Cake, ice cream, candles, and conversation! Family Synergy can help facilitate fun celebrations where family members can interact in ways they may have not before.
